OUR HISTORY
BK Pharmacy originally was established in Fresno, California in 1991. It began with a pharmacist and a vision for better patient care. The 1st pharmacy opened in 1988, Sanger Drugs in Sanger, California, a local independent pharmacy that prided itself on being a full service pharmacy/store. The store was located in the heart of downtown Sanger, and served the community for 7 years.

During that time, BK Pharmacy was formed in Fresno, California, with a mission to provide patients within our community with "Better Kare." The first BK Pharmacy was opened on Blackstone near Herndon in Fresno, California in the May of 1991. In the summer of 1992, BK Pharmacy opened in Madera, California just north of Fresno.

Since then, BK Pharmacy has expanded with the growth of it's customers and local support of it's community to open our BK stores on Gettysburg (1995), expanded Gettysburg (2002), Spruce (2005), Shaw (2006), Herndon (2007), and the remodel of Gettysburg now located on First (2008). Through the years, our buildings have changed, our locations have changed, but our customers have stayed the same. Our philosophy has never changed, since the beginning; our vision was to open a local community pharmacy to focus its services of time, education, and consultations to the people.

At BK Pharmacy, we’re dedicated to providing quality pharmacy care through excellent internal and external customer service. Although we pride ourselves on the quick filling of prescriptions with substantially reduced wait times, we believe in more than just prompt prescriptions. To us, quality care means that you get the prescriptions and medications you need, along with the dependable care from a knowledgeable pharmacist you deserve.
